Hackettstown Graveyard - Types of Stones / Graves
- Small cut stone facing due east, aprox. 26ft. from main entrance gate
- Stone reclining against east facing end wall of old church
- Large plain cut stone lying against east facing wall of old church
- Stone attached to church east end wall. Grave surrounded by iron rail. Small cut stone with cross inscribed also within rails
- Large stone facing east inclining slightly
- This is the only tombstone in the graveyard. Facing due east. Writing partially obliterated
- There is a heart with a cross in relief on top, in the centre of the cross on top of the monument
- Large inclining stone with the inscription “ in hoc signo vinces”

John and Patrick Cahill died within seventeen days of each other, on the Feb 3rd and Feb 29th respectively, in 1818. John was twenty nine and Patrick was thirty one. They have matching headstones

In January 1841 John Foley of Ballinamone buried his son and his mother within fourteen days of each other, the 2nd and 16th respectively. His son Thomas was thirty and his mother Mary was eighty years of age
